Vinyl Flooring

Vinyl flooring is a popular, versatile, and durable option for both residential and commercial spaces. It is made from synthetic materials, primarily polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and is designed to mimic the look of natural materials like wood, stone, or ceramic. Vinyl flooring is known for its affordability, ease of maintenance, and water resistance, making it ideal for areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, and high-traffic zones.

Types of Vinyl Flooring:

1. Sheet Vinyl:

Continuous Sheet:  Sheet vinyl comes in large, continuous rolls and is installed in a single piece, minimizing seams. This makes it highly water-resistant, perfect for bathrooms and kitchens.

Wide Range of Designs: Sheet vinyl can be printed to mimic wood, stone, tile, or other patterns. It offers a smooth, uniform surface.

Installation: Typically glued down, though some types offer a loose-lay option where it’s held in place by its weight.

Vinyl Plank Flooring (Luxury Vinyl Planks - LVP):

Mimics Hardwood: Vinyl planks are designed to look like hardwood flooring, complete with wood grain patterns and textures. They come in long, narrow strips like real wood planks.

Water-Resistant: LVP is waterproof and is a popular alternative to hardwood in areas prone to moisture, such as bathrooms, basements, and kitchens.

Durability: LVP is scratch-resistant, easy to clean, and comfortable underfoot.

Vinyl Tile Flooring (Luxury Vinyl Tiles - LVT):.

Looks Like Tile or Stone: LVT mimics the appearance of stone or ceramic tiles. It comes in square or rectangular shapes and is often used in kitchens, bathrooms, or entryways.

Grout-Like Appearance: Some LVT can be installed with grout, further enhancing the realistic appearance of tile.

Ease of Repair:  Damaged tiles can be easily replaced without having to redo the entire floor.

Rigid Core Vinyl Flooring:

SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) and WPC (Wood Plastic Composite): These types of rigid core vinyl flooring have an extra-durable core layer. SPC is made from stone powder and plastic, while WPC combines wood pulp and plastic.

Increased Durability: Rigid core vinyl flooring is highly resistant to dents, scratches, and water, making it suitable for high-traffic areas or homes with pets and children.

Ease of Installation:  These floors are often installed as floating floors, with click-and-lock systems that require no adhesive.
